Burna Boy barred from UK for 15 years

I did a double take after reading this report on Thenet.ng. According to the investigative news portal, singer Burna Boy was part of a gang that stabbed someone to death in the UK in 2010. See it below...
Burn Boy’s ‘uncontrollable’ mannerism and persona didn’t just start yesterday; NET investigations and sources have linked him to a criminal past, a period of his life he would rather not make public knowledge.
We are told on good authority that while in the UK back in 2010, Burna Boy was arrested by London Police for allegedly being part of a gang and stabbing someone to death. He was tried as a minor and sent to jail.
After 11 months, he was released and given two months parole plus community service on the grounds of being of ‘good behaviour’. But Burna is said to have disobeyed authorities and travelled back to Nigeria where he signed a record deal with Aristokrat.
He later travelled back to the UK but was arrested at the airport and deported to Nigeria. He is currently barred from the UK for the next 15 years.
Oh wait, or did they say he was the one who stabbed someone to death? Oh dear..

Angola bans islam,destroys mosques

According to several Angolan newspapers,
Angola has become the first country in the
world to ban Islam and Muslims, taking first
measures by destroying mosques in the
country.
“The process of legalization of Islam has not
been approved by the Ministry of Justice and
Human Rights, their mosques would be closed
until further notice,” Rosa Cruz e Silva, the
Angolan Minister of Culture, was quoted by
Agence Ecofin on Friday, November 22.
Silva’s comments were given during her visit
last Tuesday to the 6th Commission of the
National Assembly.
She asserted that the decision was the latest
is a series of efforts to ban ‘illegal’ religious
sects.
According to the minister, the action was
necessary to fight relentlessly against the
emergence of congregations whose
worshipping is contradicting with the customs
of the Angolan culture.
Same as Islam, other faiths which were not
legalized will face closure of their houses of
worship.
According to CIA Factbook, 47% of Angolans
practice indigenous beliefs, 38% Roman
Catholic and 15% Protestant.

Of course, many of his female fans loved the photo,

emmanuel amuneke assaults agent over iheanacho

According to a Premium Times report, Henry Galliano,

an American football agent, was physically assaulted by

assistant coach of Nigeria’s U-17 team, Emmanuel

Amuneke, at the Rockview Hotel in Owerri.

The story claims that the incident occurred, because

of Kelechi Iheanacho’s decision to pick Galliano as his

agent, instead of the one recommended by Amuneke.

Iheanacho, who was voted the best player at the just

concluded U-17 World Cup in UAE, has been

attracting interest from top European clubs and it is

understood that he signed an agent deal with

Galliano. A copy of this agreement was sent to the

Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, on October 21.

Recalling the incident, Galliano and his Nigerian

partner, Solomon Oluwaseun, said: “The coach invited

us, we went to see him and he started threatening

Kelechi that he should follow him to Abuja to sign

with his agent who is working with a Nasiru Jubril, a

staff of the NFF; or else Nasiru, the man in charge

of the ITC (International Transfer Certificate), will not

release kelechi’s ITC to him and they will both make

sure that he is banned from Nigeria football; also he

will not get a good club.

“When the agent tried to talk back, the coach

slapped him and beat him up in the presence of over

25 people,” Solomon said.

Galliano, on his parted said: “I

came here to take Kelechi to his

club. FC Porto and Manchester City are interested in

him but Manchester City has a better package. This

was our discussion and conclusion when Mr. Amuneke

sent for me, and asked me to go back to my cousin.

“He called me names, beat me up and embarrassed

me, he said it’s impossible to just take his players,”

Galliano, who also accused Amuneke of making racist

comments, said.

Galliano also revealed that Keshi threatened Iheanacho

and ordered him to follow him to Abuja.

“Kelechi is nowhere to be found, he started crying

after the threat made against him, the small boy is

afraid and I hope he will not lose hope,” he said.

“Amuneke said he will delay his ITC and deal with him,

he called vulgar words, cursing the boys and the

players.”

Iheanacho’s phone could not be contacted and his

father refused to comment on the situation. Amuneke

however confirmed that he indeed slapped Galliano, but

denied involvement in Iheanacho’s possible transfer.

“Yes, of course I slapped him very well and I will do it

again whenever I see him,” Amuneke said.

“He is an idiot, useless white man, he wants to come

and reap where he didn’t sow.

“Kelechi is a nobody; yes, I said we helped him into

the team, made him, moulded him into what he is

today, he shouldn’t allow anybody to fool him.”

When asked about his role in the Iheanacho and

other players’ transfer business, he replied: “I care so

much for my players, I am a coach.”

“I’m not an agent but I just look out for the boys.

He wants to come and sign a player just like that,

he’s an idiot, I will not allow him.

“Because the boy’s parents are poor and illiterate, he

wants to use them.

wande coal denies beefing don jazzy

There’s no beef between Wande Coal and Don
Jazzy .
At least that’s what Wande Coal is saying. The
Nigerian music star is in London for the GTBank
CTcrea8 free concert to be held at indigo2 today
Friday 15th November 2013.
He spoke to Adesope Olajide of Factory78 for the
Vox Africa live special promoting the concert.
He was asked about the much publicised beef
between him and superstar producer Don Jazzy
which started because of copyright issues
surrounding the song “ Baby Face “. ( click here to

He said;
“Everybody knows that i’m black diamond and it’s
something I always wanted to do, so I decided to
create my own label. The song was supposed to be
on my album but since we fell out it was just void
so it’s not like it went against any contractual
agreement.
But there’s no animosity. I’ve still got love for Don
Jazzy.”
Wande is not signed to D’banj ‘s DB Records. He
also said he is interested in signing Yvonne Nelson
to his label.

fifa president congratulates Nigeria

 President of the world football governing
body, FIFA, Joseph Sepp Blatter, has congratulated
Nigeria for being the first African nation to qualify for
the Brazil 2014 World Cup.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria secured the ticket for
the World Cup Saturday after defeating visitors, Walya
Ibex of Ethiopia 2-0 thus securing a 4-1 aggregate
victory in the two legged qualifying playoff.
A first half penalty goal from Liverpool of England
star, Victor Moses and a second half free kick curled
out of the reach of Ethiopia’s goalkeeper Sesay
Bancha by Lokomotiv Moscow attacker Victor Obinna
ensured that the Nigerian team picked their fifth
ticket to play at the 2014 World Cup in a crucial
match played at the U.J Eusene Stadium, Calabar,
Cross River State.
The Eagles had taken part in the World Cup in 1994,
1998, 2002 and 2010.
Posting on his official twitter page Sunday, Blatter
wrote: “@SeppBlatter: Congratulations Nigeria! 1st African
team qualified for #WorldCup after 4-1 aggregate win v
Ethiopia. A 5th World Cup for the Super Eagles.”
Stephen Keshi’s team were favourites going into the
second leg of the World Cup playoff against the
Ethiopians in Calabar on Saturday and it was not a
surprise to many football pundits that the Eagles could
have an easy ride over their visitors in the match.
Even coach Bishaw Sewnet congratulated Keshi after
the match saying “I congratulate Keshi, his team and
the people of Nigeria for going to the World Cup.
Although I’m not totally satisfied with some decisions of
the centre referee (Gambian Bakary Papa Gassam) in
the match for denying my team two penalties that
could have changed the outcome of this match, I still
have to give kudos to the Nigerian team for picking
the World Cup ticket.”
Sewnet also heaped praises on his young team who he
said are mainly players from the local scene in
Ethiopian football.
“These boys have great future ahead of them. They
came out strongly to give the Eagles who paraded
players playing professional football in Europe a good
fight,” said Sewnet.
